DEPOSITS:
• A 30 % deposit is required
• Full payment is required 14 days prior to the start date of the rental period
• Deposits may be paid by cash, direct bank transfer, certified cheque, VISA, MASTERCARD or money order
• Deposits will be required at the time of booking to hold your dates
CANCELLATION:
• If, for whatever reason, you need to cancel your vacation, please advise us as soon as possible, so that we may attempt to book your space with another party.
• If your cancellation is advised 45 days or more before your vacation start date, your full deposit will be returned without discount or penalty.
• However, if you cancel your vacation with Lakeshore Retreats 45 days or less before your start date, the full deposit will be forfeited.
DAMAGES:
• Each cottage is inspected thoroughly by our staff before and after each rental. If damage occurs please advise Lakeshore Retreats immediately so we can have the problem rectified before the next tenant arrives.
• You will be responsible for ALL DAMAGES INCURRED by you or/and your guests.
• A $500.00 refundable security deposit is required on all rentals, with any damages in excess of this deposit to be billed directly to you. This security deposit will be held for 45 days after the rental period is finished, from which any incurred phone bills will be subtracted.
• Please note that should the next renters smell cigarette smoke, the full amount of the security deposit will be held and not refunded. This is done to cover the cost of cleaning the cottage. Should the next renters or owners of the cottage not be able to stay due to this issue, you will be billed or your credit card will be charged with the amount of rental lost.
PETS:
• Due to the extreme allergies of the children of the owners, we respectfully decline the option of bringing your pets.
Smoking:
• Due to health issues within the owners family, we respectfully ask that all smoking be restricted to outside the cottage and be clear of any windows and doors so that no smoke enters the cottage.

TELEPHONE USAGE:
• A telephone is available for local and emergency calling only. Cell phone reception is excellent within and outside of the cottage with most service providers. Any abuse of this privilege will be deducted from the security deposit.
NUMBER OF GUESTS:
• Must be discussed at initial meeting....these guidelines are enforced more for septic regulations than any other factor....please disclose initially so any adjustments in rent can be made.
• While the cottage is available to groups no larger than 8, it is set-up to sleep up to 11 people comfortably. An additional charge of $75.00 applies to each person over 8.
